Securus Video Visitation Goes Beyond Just A Visit

I am impressed with the possibilities of the Securus Video Visitation feature. I watched a video of a young man named Chris. Chris belongs to a band and his father is incarcerated. Chris has probably longed for the chance to perform for his father and hear his new band. Although the video doesn’t disclose how long Chris’s father has been incarcerated, that’s really not the point.

The point is that an incarcerated man gets the chance to see his son perform with his band; a privilege that otherwise would not be allowed under normal circumstances and prison regulations. Securus has provided a very much needed service to boost the morale of inmates. It has also given Chris’s father the chance to see him grow as an artist — and a man. Judging by the look on the incarcerated father’s face, I would say he was very proud and misses his son very much.

Securus provides services for 2,200 correctional facilities in Canada and the United States. Securus makes it possible to converse with and see your loved ones from your residence or workplace. Securus has eliminated the hardship of having to travel for long periods of time, and the waiting around until your turn comes up to see your incarcerated loved one. You do have to create an account, but it’s well worth it.

Securus also offers conventional phone services, jail voicemail, and email services. All of these services can be utilized with a desktop or laptop computer. The Video Visitation feature is also available on your favorite iOS device; iPhone, iPad, and the iPod Touch. The Securus website informs you to which states and facilities that their services are available. There are many and your loved one may be in a facility that uses Securus’s dynamic services.

Securus is making their mark in the prison communications industry and making a statement. I believe prisons that are not equipped with Securus’s services probably have hostile environments. Not saying that any prison is a five-star hotel, but Securus does provide a wonderful service that makes inmates feel “free”.

Rates are reasonable from state-to-state as the FCC is cracking down on ridiculous phone rates and surcharges. This is a huge advantage for inmates and their loved ones.

  1. That is very important in such an environment like prison. Securus is providing a service that makes inmates (and their family members) feel like humans. I also do feel that the essay writer was to be the one that makes all these come to pass and it’s very cool and good.
